2008 Holiday House Tour
Deck the halls, the walls and the windows. On December 13th from 10am to 4pm, put on your walking shoes and get into the holiday mood at the 38th annual YWCA Holiday House Tour to see how other families in Chester County decorate their homes for the holidays.
More than 300 visitors will be welcomed to this year’s tour of spectacular homes located in the borough of West Chester. In addition to the beautiful homes you’ll see on your Tour, we’ve also planned an exciting stop at the YWCA where you can rest up with a warm beverage and holiday treats and enjoy the Chester County Craft Guild Exhibit and Sale at the YWCA Chester County, 123 North Church Street, West Chester. You will be thrilled by the beautiful, artisan-quality works exhibited and for sale from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. at the YWCA. The Chester County Craft Guild is a member organization of the prestigious Pennsylvania Guild of Craftsmen and this exhibit by individual members will feature artwork, pottery, fabric creations, jewelry, sculpture and more. If you’re hungry for more? Take advantage of the many discount coupons located in your Tour book offered by West Chester restaurants
Proceeds will benefit the programs of the YWCA including TEAM tutoring program teaching, enrichment, activities and more, WOW workforce development course for low income women, HomeShare Alliance, a collaboration with Home of the Sparrow which matches individuals with affordable housing needs with individuals who have affordable, safe, available home space, The Summer Enrichment Program day camp for at risk children aged 6-15, Project Piggy Bank financial education program for girls aged 10-18, and The Mothers’ Center support groups for mothers.
The Holiday House Tour tickets are just $35, $30 can be considered a tax-deductible contribution. Purchase your tickets online or in person at the YWCA or the Chester County Book & Music Company. For more information, call 610-692-3737 or email ywcacc@comcast.net.
